Coannah Services rescued my tax returns from a CPA firm in Mesa:

I had a CPA firm in Mesa do my personal and business taxes, I delivered all the paperwork by the end of January and asked if they thought they could be on time this year (they were late the previous two years).  They assured me that wouldn't be a problem.  Almost immediately the CPA handling my account went on a two month vacation out of state and the guy she left in charge did nothing until she returned.  Finally a month past the March due date, she calls me and tells me I owe $18,000 in taxes and I am really in trouble.  I picked the returns up and paid her only to discover they had filed for me as single, even though my wife and children's names were printed on the return.  I called the firm back and they said they would correct the problem if I brought the returns back.  Six months later, I was in the office demanding my returns be given back to me as they still hadn't done anything with them and wouldn't even return my phone calls.  I actually barged into the CPA's office (with the secretary nipping at my heels) and found them on the floor next to the CPA's desk, exactly where they had been laying a month earlier, the CPA's were still not in the office.

I gave all the same info to Tammy, she did them in short order (about two weeks turnaround time) along with re-filing amendments for the previous two years.  I was refunded thousands from the IRS!  There was over $20,0000 difference opinion between the Mesa CPA and Coannah Financial!
